Apprenticeship Program
Looking to get your hands in the soil and dive deep into regenerative agriculture? Join us for a 16-week+ immersive apprenticeship at Cozy Point Ranch in Aspen, Colorado. Learn by doing — from seeding and harvesting to animal care and market prep — all while contributing to a vibrant, working farm. Apprentices receive a weekly stipend, farm-fresh food, and hands-on education rooted in sustainability. No experience necessary.

Job Description
Location: Cozy Point Ranch, Aspen, Colorado
Time Commitment: 16+ weeks (flexible start dates from mid-May/early June to late September/mid-October)
Hours: 40+ hours/week
Compensation:
$200/week + CSA share (farm produce, lamb, eggs – often the slightly cracked ones)
Optional: $100/week with possible housing included
Overview
This hands-on apprenticeship is designed for individuals eager to explore regenerative and organic agriculture. Over the course of the season, apprentices will gain experience in all aspects of farm operations, from crop production and irrigation to animal husbandry and community programs.
No prior farming experience is required, but a strong work ethic, curiosity, and enthusiasm are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily farm tasks: planting, harvesting, weeding, irrigation, animal care
- Support wash/pack operations and farmers market prep
- Assist with education programs and general farm maintenance
- Learn about soil health, composting, and rotational grazing
- Adapt to varied weather conditions and work in high-altitude environment (7,000+ ft)
Ideal Candidate:
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
- Has a flexible, positive attitude and willingness to take on varied tasks
- Can perform manual labor safely and consistently
- Is interested in sustainability and organic agriculture
- Has reliable transportation to and from the farm

Looking to dig deeper into our work? Consider becoming a Farm Collaborative Ambassador—a long-term volunteer role for passionate individuals ready to roll up their sleeves and make a meaningful impact. Ambassadors dive into specific areas of our operations and receive hands-on training to support our mission of regenerative agriculture, education, and community building.



what’s involved
Training & Mentorship: You’ll receive hands-on training and regular check-ins from our staff to set you up for success.
Flexible Scheduling: Adopt a plot or animal care shift that works with your lifestyle—weekly, biweekly, or seasonally.
Community Connection: Join a growing network of farm stewards and help create a more resilient local food system.
To become a Farm Ambassador, we ask that you join us for at least three public volunteer days before applying for training.
Once you’re ready, you’ll complete a short application and sign a simple agreement outlining the role.
There’s no one-size-fits-all path to becoming an Ambassador. Here’s how our current ambassadors are helping grow change:
- Lead volunteer days in our regenerative garden and greenhouse
- Care for our animals and help train new volunteers in daily chores
- Engage the community at local events and through outreach efforts
- Support composting, soil health projects, harvesting and land stewardship activities
Where Ambassadors Are Needed Most
Regenerative Gardening & Greenhouse Care
Ambassadors help maintain our teaching gardens and greenhouse, using organic and regenerative techniques to grow nutrient-rich food while improving soil health.
Animal Care & Education
Help tend to our goats, chickens, and other animals while teaching visitors—especially kids—about ethical animal husbandry and farm life.
Community Engagement & Events
Represent The Farm Collaborative at local events, workshops, and festivals to spread awareness and connect with supporters across the Roaring Fork Valley.

Adopt an Animal!
Love animals?
Looking for a hands-on way to support the farm?
Our Adopt an Animal program offers volunteers the chance to help care for our furry and feathered residents. Choose a day or time that works for you, and we’ll train you on how to feed, care for, and connect with the animals who call the farm home.
This is a great opportunity for individuals or families who want a regular, meaningful connection with the farm—and the goats will absolutely remember you.
